Computex 2017: Samsung launches Notebook 9 Pro convertible laptop with Windows 10 and S Pen

The south Korean tech giant Samsung on Tuesday launched a new convertible laptop, dubbed as “Notebook 9 Pro” at the ongoing Computex 2017 trade show event in Taipei. As of now, Samsung has not revealed the pricing details and availability of the Notebook 9 Pro. But as expected, the convertible laptop will be made available for purchase later this year in Titan Silver colour option. Samsung Notebook 9 Pro has been launched in two different variants – Samsung Notebook 9 Pro 13.3-inch and Notebook 9 Pro 15-inch. The upgraded variant of Notebook 9 Series comes with a 1080p Full-HD touchscreen display with 360-degree hinge, an embedded S-Pen stylus as well as securely authentication process with facial recognition via Windows Hello camera.

The key highlight of the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is its 360-degree hinge, that allows to use your Notebook 9 in a variety of different positions. The laptop can be used as a tablet, a traditional laptop, positioned as a tent, or propped up like a stand. On the other hand, the Notebook 9 Pro supports a S-Pen stylus just like the Microsoft Surface Pen. The S Pen allows for a “precise and natural” handwriting or drawing experience. In terms of specifications, the pen has 0.7mm tip, that can detect more than 4,000 levels of pressure and the impressive tilt technology helps you smoothly draw in the most comfortable position. It also comes equipped with Samsung Air Command for taking notes and edit documents. Air Command is the Samsung’s own drawing and note taking software for digital styluses. Apart from this, the S-Pen is also compatible with Windows Ink Workspace feature, thus the pen can be used on a variety of Windows Ink-powered devices.
