After a series of many leaks and revelations, South Korean tech giant Samsung on Tuesday officially announced the company’s affordable mid-range 2017 edition of J series smartphones in Europe. This new mid-range of smartphones include a Galaxy J3 (2017), a Galaxy J5 (2017) and the Galaxy J7 (2017). The South Korean company saying that all three smartphones will be made available for purchase in the upcoming months. The Galaxy J3 (2017) is expected to make its debut on the European tech market in August. The Galaxy J3 (2017) is now already available on AT&T in the US with a different design. The Galaxy J5 (2017) will be launched in Europe later this month, while the Galaxy J7 (2017) is scheduled to hit the market in July.
Price wise, the Galaxy J3 (2017) will be available for purchase at €219 (approx. Rs. 15,800), the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will be priced at €279 (approx. Rs 20,200), while the high-end version, Galaxy J7 (2017) will cost you €339 (approx. Rs 24,600). Although Samsung announced the pricing of its new J series smartphones will vary by countries. All the three smartphones will be made available in Black and Gold colour options.
In terms of design, the new 2017 edition J series trio sport a metal body with metal edges all around giving them an overall premium look. The Galaxy J3, J5, and J7 feature capacitive navigation buttons and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner (except J3), that is housed underneath the physical Home Button of the devices. The back panel of the devices sports a new curved antenna design and a vertical camera setup at the top. The volume rockers are placed on the left-hand edge, while the power/lock button is situated on the right-hand edge of the smartphone. A 3.5mm audio socket and the speaker grilles are seen at the bottom edge of the handsets along with a microUSB 2.0 (except J7) port sitting in the middle.
