South Korean consumer electronics giant, LG Electronics on Wednesday launched a new range of OLED TVs in the Indian home entertainment market with price tags starting from Rs. 3,25,000 to a whopping Rs. 30,00,000. The new LG OLED TV range consists of five models, 77/65W7, 77G7, 65/55E7, 65/55C7 and 65/55B7, and will be going on sale in India from this month.

All of the OLED TVs come with some advanced features such as Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos technology, Active HDR and Technicolor’s Colour Science Expertise. These features will surely make the TV enthusiasts happy. The company claims that the latest OLED TV lineup is designed to deliver a unique and unmatched TV viewing experiences to the viewers by showing more realistic and life-like picture quality with darker blacks, infinite contrast and advanced colour reproduction.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Younchul Park, Director of Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India, said, “Our newly launched range of OLED TVs is a testimony to our commitment of bringing top-of-the-line products and services to our users in India. The new OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) TVs feature Active HDR for presenting HDR content designed to render brighter scenes and greater shadow detail. The Active HDR processes the picture frame by frame and inserts dynamic metadata where needed. Apart from its infinite contrast ratio and vivid colours, the TVs also support the full range of HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). The company says that these various formats are mixed by the new HDR Effect feature that allows the TV to process standard definition content frame-by-frame to enhance brightness levels in specific areas, improve contrast ratios and render more precise images. The TVs also feature the self-lightning pixels which enhances the picture quality to give an ultimate viewing experience. Further, Dolby Atmos surround sound system boosts the viewing experience, where the sounds dance according to the content of the video. Its 360-degree stereophonic sound technology bringing power to your movies and videos. LG claims that the OLED TV’s key message is of simplicity and perfection.

In terms of connectivity, the new LG OLED TVs come with the latest version of webOS for smart connectivity. The new user interface offers seamless and intuitive control with company’s proprietary Magic Remote’s scroll, gesture and voice commands.
