Japanese consumer electronics and home appliances company Sony on Monday launched its all new range of 4K HDR TVs in the Indian home entertainment market with price tags starting from Rs. 72,900 to a whopping Rs. 6,04,900. The new X series of 4K HDR TVs consists of six models, X9500E, X9400E/X9300E, X9000E, X8200E, X7500E, and X7002E. Among these TVs, most of the models are already made available for purchase via all leading retail stores and Sony Centers across the country, while the other panel sizes of the model will be launching in India pretty soon.
The main USPs (unique selling point) of the new 4K UHD TVs are its 4K HDR X1 Extreme processor for ultimate realism, Slim Backlight Drive+ for the extraordinary brightness, X-tended Dynamic Range PRO for amazing contrast, TRILUMINOS Display, and Android 7.0 Nougat platform. The new 4K TV lineup also comes packed with a smart remote which offers direct access to apps like the Netflix, Google Play Store and YouTube.
The expensive X9500E series comes with Sony’s Slim Backlight Drive+ technology and an edge LED structure, which allows for more precise local dimming control. The TV also features 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme which controls TV to show ultimate and true 4K images. Other features on the television include the X-tended Dynamic Range PRO, which enhances the HDR and non-HDR content by boosting and dimming the backlight levels precisely for each zone of the screen. Like the X9500E series, the other cheap version of the 4K HDR TVs also supports features like X-tended Dynamic Range PRO, 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme, TRILUMINOS Display etc. However, the Sony 4K HDR TV line-up packs the perfect blend of style, incredible contrast and brightness, wide colour range, immersive sound and dynamic images which are all associated with the new generation Sony X series 4K HDR TVs.
Connectivity options on the TV include HDMI ports, USB ports, Ethernet port, Bluetooth (except X7002E), and Wi-Fi connectivity. Sony’s new X series 4K television runs Android 7.0 Nougat (TV version) by default, with company’s custom UI skin running on top of the TV. The Sony Android TV comes packed with a smart remote that offers direct access to apps like the Netflix, Google Play Store, and YouTube. You can also connect your smartphone to the Android TV via a microUSB cable.
