Japanese electronics company Sony on Monday updated its audio products portfolio with the launch of a new smart portable home audio system, dubbed as “Sony MHC V50D” in the Indian home-entertainment market. Priced at Rs. 33,990, the new MHC-V50D portable sound system will be made available for purchase starting July 13, 2017, via company’s official retail store, Sony Centers as well as all leading electronics showrooms across the country. The MHC-V50D is the successor to the company’s previous MHC-V44D model, which was launched in India last year. However, Sony’s new powerful portable sound system now comes packed with more stylish design, brilliant features and smart technology like karaoke mode, motion control technology, party lights and DJ effects.

Design wise, the Sony MHC-V50D is a stylish, lightweight, compact and one-box portable audio system. At the centre position, the audio system houses a powerful woofer, two tweeters and two midrange speaker units. The top panel features an illuminated control panel with touch sensitive keys, making its user interface more stylish and convenient. With the help of its inbuilt carry handles you can easily move the speaker anytime anywhere without any difficulties as the audio system weighs only 14Kgs.

Connectivity options offered by the Sony MHC-V50D include a USB port, audio input, an HDMI output, a built-in FM radio tuner and a built-in DVD/CD player. The audio system also features two microphone inputs for karaoke and plug-in a guitar. The karaoke mode allows the users to connect a karaoke DVD or a YouTube content via Bluetooth technology along with two mic inputs. The Sony MHC-V50D audio system comes equipped with the latest motion control technology to manage the selection of tracks in a smart way. To enable this feature, users have to connect their smartphone to the audio system either through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The audio system can detect a smartphone’s movement to change tracks and manage the volume level with help of gestures on the Fiestable app. The app is available on both platforms including Google Play Store and Apple Store. The new Sony MHC-V50D sound system has an impressive audio output capability with 660W.

The new audio system also features DJ effects and party lights, which allows users to add special effects to music, voice and lighting. According to the company, the MHC-V50D sound system offers speaker illuminations as lights are directed through a lens to spread a wide light pattern. One can control the lights on the system, and watch them sync to the beat of the music for a club-style dance floor at home. Apart from this, the new Sony MHC-V50D smart audio system can be further connected with company’s other one box audio systems to amplify the sound and create a powerful audio chain effect.
