Soon after launching the Aqua Style III smartphone in India, Domestic handset manufacturer Intex Technologies on Wednesday updated its “Aqua” series of smartphones catalogue with the launch of a new pocket-friendly smartphone, called the “Intex Aqua Note 5.5” in the Indian market. Carried a best-buy price tag of Rs. 5,799, the new Intex Aqua Note 5.5 is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via e-commerce website Amazon India in Champagne Gold colour option.

Talking about its specifications, the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 comes equipped with a 5.5-inch HP IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and offers a pixel density of 269 ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone draws its power from a 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad core processor, which comes coupled with Mali-T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 is backed up by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion by up to 128GB. On the software (OS) front, the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.

In terms of photography, the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear-facing camera with dual LED flash. On the front, the device houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an LED flash module for capturing bright selfies and making video calls even in low light situations. The rear camera features include HDR, Panorama, GPS location info, Face detection and more.

On the connectivity front, the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts two micro-SIM cards. Apart from this, the handset also supports various connectivity options that include dual-SIM dual standby, 4G VoLTE, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 is fuelled by a denser 2,800mAh lithium-ion battery, which claims to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor and Proximity sensor. Dimension wise, the smartphone measures 153 x 77.5 x 10.3 mm and weighs 177 grams.
