Are you suffering from high blood pressure? So take a sauna bath for 30 minutes as it helps to reduce the level of blood pressure.
A recent research revealed that immediately after 30 minutes of sauna bath, the systolic blood pressure (the upper number) of the participants decreased from 137 mmHg to 130 mmHg and their diastolic (lower number) decreased from 82 mmHg to 75 mmHg.
The study published in the Journal of Human Hypertension analyzed the effects of a 30-minute sauna bath in 100 participants. Even after 30 minutes of sauna bath, systolic blood pressure remained low.

Professor and study of the University of Eastern Finland found that half-hour sauna baths have a beneficial effect on arteries and blood pressure.
“vascular compliance was measured from the carotid and femoral artery before sauna, immediately after sauna, and after 30 minutes of recovery”, said researchers from the University of Eastern Finland.
Earlier studies also show that continuous sauna bath reduces the risk of coronary diseases and heartbeat stops, the death of high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s disease and insanity.
The new study has been published in the European Journal of Prevalent Cardiology.

However, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “an estimated 75 million Americans have high blood pressure. Many risk factors for high blood pressure are out of your control, such as age, family history, gender, and race. But there are also factors you can control, such as exercise and diet. A diet that can help control blood pressure is rich in potassium, magnesium, and fiber and lower in sodium.”
