Music Maestro AR Rahman has been in the industry for over 25 years now, but ‘Mozart Of Madras’ still doesn’t cease to amaze us. He first made his presence felt in the 90s when he broke all the charts with Roja. Since then, there has been no looking back. Rahman stunned us yet again when he recreated the hit number Urvasi Urvasi on MTV Unplugged Season 6 recently. He gave it a modern twist when he included Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in the lyrics! Yes, we kid you not!
Giving him company were Suresh Peters and Ranjit Barot. Going by the news that has been doing the rounds, Rahman didn’t stop at this. He had announced that he will release unplugged versions of five more of his super hit songs. These songs were aired in the opening episode of Royal Stag Barrel Select MTV Unplugged Season 6 last night. While we haven’t got our hands on these gems yet, here are the five songs that have been recreated:
