And the one where Belle and Beast are reading something from a book (probably about his curse, given the ominous expressions on their faces)

The photos have left us pining for more.

Three months ago, Disney released a teaser trailer that didn’t really give away much but managed to pique our interests.

Both the teaser and the photos have an eerie, mysterious vibe to them. The internet is speculating unexpected plot twists to Beauty and the Beast and going by the looks of it, it could be a dark twist. In fact, the cast believes that the movie turned out to be “unexpectedly very emotional” and is confident it will leave fans “awestruck.”

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Josh Gad (who plays Le Fou in the movie) said:

“It builds on the animated classic. It evolves like Jungle Book evolved from the source material, like Cinderella evolved from the source material, but it goes further into the trenches in terms of the mythology, in terms of the characters, and there’s a scope to it and a pathos to it that, having seen it, I can tell you was unexpectedly very emotional, and I just think that the new music, as well as the old music—it’s going to blow everybody away.”

While Cinderella didn’t really do well at the box office, The Jungle Book was a worldwide success. We hope “Beauty and the Beast” is as successful or better.
