After launching the Zenfone Go 5.5 smartphone earlier this month, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Asus is all set to add an another member, the “Asus ZenFone Live” to its Zenfone series. Based on the company’s recent tweet invites, the smartphone is now expected to makes its way to the Indian market on May 24. The tweet sounds, “stay tuned for the revolutionary new Zenfone that’s coming to solve all your Go Live Challenges on 24th May! #GoLiveChallenge.” The invitation doesn’t provide any information about the upcoming device. The main highlight of the Asus ZenFone Live is its real-time beautification camera. The BeautyLive app is a live-streaming app that removes blemishes in real-time.

In terms of specifications, the the ZenFone Live comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The display also features a Bluelight Filter that is helpful for user’s eyes during prolonged usage. The Zenfone Live is powered by a 1.0GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, coupled with Adreno 306 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory storage, the smartphone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the device runs company’s own custom ZenUI 3.0, based on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. ZenUI 3.0 skin comes with exciting new features for a simpler, secure and more personalized experience.

In terms of photography, the ZenFone Live features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED real tone flash to ensure high quality, sharp and clear photographs. On the front, the phone sports a 5-megapixel camera with 1.4-micron pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, and soft light LED flash for capturing bright selfies and video calling. In addition, the Asus PixelMaster 3.0 camera app offers multiple modes to enhance the photography experience further such as – Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Night Mode, Manual Mode (for DSLR-like camera detail settings), Real Time Beautification Mode, Photo Effect Mode, Super Resolution Mode (for up to 4X resolution photos), Selfie Panorama, Selfie Mode.

In terms of connectivity, this dual SIM smartphone supports 4G with LTE connection on both SIMs, but Asus has stated that only one SIM can connect to 4G LTE / 3G WCDMA at a time. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi-Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. Sensors onboard the smartphone include Accelerator, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, and E-Compass sensor. The Asus ZenFone Live packs a 2650mAh non-removable battery. The handset measures 141.2 x 71.7 x 7.9mm and weighs 120 grams.
