The might of Avengers: Infinity War is slowing down now-though it’s still got some more gas left. The movie ended this week with a new record. The 19th MCU flick beat 2015’s Jurassic World’s domestic earnings record of $652 million, and now stands at around $654.7 million, in the US. It has now become the fifth highest grossing film in the US domestic history.
But the film did miss the most important record to make-the magical $2 billion mark!
The film, which has till now earned around, over $1.3 billion overseas, has collected a total of $1.99 billion, globally!
Though, it’s certain now, that Infinity War will make it to the $2 billion club, to become the fourth film to do so, but it will take a slight time. The MCU flick became the fastest film during its release, to cross the $1 billion mark, in just 11 days!
The Russo brothers’ film also holds the record for the highest domestic and global opening weekends!
The film stars Josh Brolin, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsowrth, Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen, Zoe Saldana and Tom Holland among others.
The movie is still running in theaters, successfully.
