Chinese smartphone company Coolpad has launched a new budget-oriented smartphone in the US, dubbed as the “Coolpad Defiant”. The new Coolpad Defiant smartphone is now made available for purchase exclusively via T-Mobile online platform in Storm Gray colour option. The Coolpad Defiant has been launched in the US at a price tag of $100, which is approximately Rs. 6,500. T-Mobile has listed the smartphone on its website for $4 down payment with $4 monthly instalments for two years. MetroPCS customers will also be able to pick up the Coolpad Defiant phone sometime later this summer at MetroPCS stores nationwide.
Coolpad Defiant Specifications and Features:
In terms of design, Coolpad Defiant sports a 5-inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 854×480 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor along with Adreno 308 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Coolpad Defiant runs on Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Coolpad Defiant features a 5-megapixel rear sensor with an LED flash module. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies and making video calls.
In terms of connectivity, the Coolpad Defiant offers various connectivity options including 4G voLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. The Coolpad Defiant comes packed with a powerful 2,450mAh battery and the company claims that the smartphone can deliver up to 16.5 hours of talk time and up to 12 days of standby time. Dimensionally, the handset measures at 5.69 x 2.8 x 0.4 inches and weighs around 184 grams.
