Post the stupendous success of their Mersal released this Diwali, production and distribution house Thenandal Studios Limited are basking in the glory of their 100th production venture. The film directed by Atlee and starring ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay in triple roles has grossed over 300 crores worldwide and is still continuing its strong run at box office.
That said, Thenandal Studios Limited have now announced their next production venture, which will star none other than Dhanush. The news was confirmed by TSL CEO Hema Rukmani via Twitter stating, “Official Update : Post #MERSAL, await another exciting announcement of our next big project with the multitalented @dhanushkraja .More details soon. Happy to collaborate with #D 😊😊😊 @MuraliRamasamy4 @ThenandalFilms @aditi1231”.
The announcement quickly triggered debate among fans as to whether the film’s director could be the young acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. It must be noted that Dhanush had announced more than a year back a team up with the director and it now remains to be seen if this film will indeed be the one for the two of them.
Meanwhile, Thenandal Studios Limited also have to their list of announced projects, the epic historical biggie, Sangamithra, staring Jayam Ravi, Arya, Disha Patani under Sundar. C’s direction featuring a musical score by A. R. Rahman.
