itel Mobile, part of Hong Kong-based mobile manufacturer Transsion Holdings, on Wednesday expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new Selfie-focused smartphone, dubbed as the “itel S21” in the Indian tech market. itel S21 is India’s first ever smartphone to come with dual front-facing camera setup but priced only Rs. 5,999, the company claims. Carried a such an attractive price tag, the new itel S21 will be made available for purchase in India starting today via all leading offline retail stores across the country in Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, and Elegant Black colour options. The main highlights of the device are its dual front-facing camera setup, fingerprint sensor and support for 4G VoLTE (Voice over LTE). In addition, the itel S21 also comes pre-loaded with Smart Phone Manager that allows users to access apps such as Accelerate, App Freeze, App Lock, Power Saver and Carl Care service support. Apart from this, the smartphone also supports multi-account / dual app feature that allows you to use two WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram accounts simultaneously on the smartphone.

As far as specifications are concerned, the itel S21 flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 480×854 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.1GHz MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T860 MP1 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the itel S21 is backed up by a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software fronts (OS), the smartphone runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. The device also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for the biometric authentication process.
For photography, the itel S21 sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and a LED flash module. Talking about its selfie camera, the smartphone features a dual front-facing camera setup, which comes combined with one 5-megapixel primary sensor and one 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Out of these two sensors, one camera is used for capturing normal photos, while the other one is used for capturing 120-degree wide group selfies. The dual-front cameras also allow users to toggle between the selfie and group selfie mode through the camera app.
In terms of connectivity, the itel S21 supports dual-SIM dual standby, 4G with VoLTE (Voice over LTE), 4G with ViLTE (Video over LTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and other connectivity. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. On the battery front, the itel S21 comes packed with a decent 2,700mAh Li-Polymer battery.
