After launching the Me4 and Me5 in India last month, Chinese smartphone company iVoomi on Thursday expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new entry-level smartphone, called the “iVoomi Me 2” in the Indian tech market. Priced at Rs. 3,999, the new iVoomi Me 2 will be made available for purchase in India starting from today exclusively via e-commerce website ShopClues.com in Black & Champagne Gold colour options. The main highlights of the smartphone are its Android 7.0 Nougat OS and 4G VoLTE support.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Ashwin Bhandari, CEO, iVOOMi India said “India is an extremely important market for us and we are trying to propagate value phones in the mid-level segment by introducing a new variant in the Me series. Since our inception, we have been investing all our efforts in understanding the consumer behaviour across the country, and even glad to see the tremendous response towards the complete range of products launched by us over the last two-quarters. With the launch of this new smartphone, we ensure that consumers witness best of technology and user experience.”
As far as specifications are concerned, the iVoomi Me 2 comes equipped with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad-core processor (unspecified) coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the iVoomi Me 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. In terms of photography, the iVoomi Me 2 features an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash module. On the front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for capturing selfies and making video calls.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM supported iVoomi Me 2 offers various connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port for charging and other connectivity. On the battery front, the smartphone comes loaded with a 2,000mAh Li-ion polymer battery. Apart from this, the iVoomi Me 2 also comes preloaded with Indian regional lingoes that enables communication in 22 regional languages including Hindi, Assamese, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Nepali, Bodo, Telugu, Urdu, Sindhi, Odia, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Dogri, Maithili, Santhali, Konkani, and Manipuri.
