British premium automobile manufacturer Land Rover has recently expanded its luxury SUV (sports utility vehicle) portfolio with the launch of an all-new long wheelbase SUV, christened as the “Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic” in the Indian four-wheeler market. Priced at Rs. 2.79 crores (Ex-showroom, pan India), the new Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV is now available for pre-order at all 25 Range Rover-authorised showrooms across the country. The Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic will be developed and made by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team to deliver a luxurious driving experience. The newly launched SUV now becomes the fourth vehicle to wear the SVO crown in India, after the Range Rover SVAutobiography, Range Rover Sport SVR and Jaguar F-TYPE SVR. The Land Rover range in India includes the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, and Discovery Sport.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV is powered by an all-aluminum 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine that generates 543 bhp of peak power @ 6,000 rpm-6,500 rpm against the peak torque of 625 Nm @ 3,500 rpm-4,000 rpm. The supercharged petrol engine comes mated to a ZF derived 8-speed automatic transmission that transmits power to all the four wheels. The new Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic needs only 5.4 seconds to reach 100kmph from engine start and has an electronically restricted top speed of 250km per hour.

Exterior & Interior Features

Being a luxury SUV member, the new Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV sports various exciting features such as new and unique Graphite Atlas accents, Red-painted BremboTM powered brake calipers, designed 21-inch 5 split-spoke ‘Style 505’ wheels (with optional 22-inch rims) finished in dark grey, black contrast roof with a panoramic sunroof and Grand Black veneer on the door panels that gives the car a distinctive personality. Dimensionally, the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV measures 4,999 mm in length, 2,220 mm in width, 1,835 mm in height and has a standard wheelbase of 2,922 mm.

Inside the cabin, the SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV receives a red & black finished dashboard and dual tone leather seats with diamond shaped “Autobiography” stitching are standard. The seats are electrically adjustable and come in four colour choice schemes. Apart from this, the SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV also features piano black-finished JLR rotary driving mode shifter, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch HD touch display, four-zone climate control, special SVAutobiography pedals, LCD instrument cluster, an augmented Head-Up display (shows speed, direction and gear position), configurable interior mood lighting, and an 825W Meridian surround sound system with 29 speakers.

The InControl Touch Pro infotainment system comes engineered with latest connectivity options including with WhiteFire digital wireless headphones, navigation system, Mobile High-Definition Link, HDMI, and USB connections. On the other hand, the Meridian surround sound system comes loaded with Meridian Trifield technology to create a concert-like experience. The rear centre console of the car comes equipped with bottle chiller compartment and power deployable tables. However, the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV packs the perfect blend of style, luxuriousness, performance and sportiness which are all associated with the Range Rover and JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team.

Safety Features

In terms of safety, the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV offers various safety features including Driver and Passenger Airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Active speed limiter, Adaptive cruise control with Queue Assist, Park Assist-Parallel Park, Traction control, Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2, Electronic air suspension and 360 degree parking camera. Other features on the vehicle include front fog lamps, adaptive xenon headlights, rain sensing wipers, power operated child locks, keyless entry and much more.

In the Indian market, the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic SUV will compete against the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG performance SUV.
