After launching the entry-level Moto C and Moto C Plus smartphone in India, now it seems like the Lenovo-backed Motorola is all set to launch its another lower mid-range smartphone, called the “Moto E4 Plus” in the Indian tech market on Wednesday, July 12. The company has already started sending out the media invites for its upcoming battery-centric smartphone launch event, which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, July 12. The media invite shows a half image outline of the device, company logo, scheduled launch date and time. If you take a close look at the provided teaser image, you will get to see a gold colour Motorola smartphone and on the back panel of the device, you will see a confirmation it will sport a Motorola’s traditional round rear camera setup.

On the other hand, the domestic e-commerce website Flipkart.com, through a teaser on their website, has announced that their e-commerce platform will be the exclusive retail partner for the upcoming Moto E4 Plus smartphone. Besides this, Moto India has also shared a teaser video on its official Twitter account, citing that, “A massive 5000mAh battery requires an electrifying partnership! #MotoE4Plus on @Flipkart Unveiling on 12/07 at 12 pm.” Unfortunately, the pricing details and the availability of the Moto E4 Plus has not been disclosed by the company yet but as expected it might be revealed on the day of launching.

To recall, Moto E4 Plus was launched globally in June this year, along with the company’s another budget smartphone Moto E4, which has already made its debut on the Indian tech market couple of days ago and the phone is now retailing in India (offline retail stores) at Rs. 8,999. However, the Moto E4 Plus is priced $179.99 / €199 (around Rs 11,600) for its 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM variant. In the Indian smartphone market, the Moto E4 Plus will likely to be priced somewhere in between the Rs 11,000 and Rs 12,000.

Talking about its design, the Moto E4 Plus comes with a sleek metal unibody design with a sophisticated metal back cover and metal frame all around, meaning that the device sports a relatively premium build quality. The Moto E4 Plus features onscreen navigation buttons and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner that is housed underneath a capsule-sized physical Home Button of the device. The volume rockers and the power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the device and a 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the very top edge of the handset. The Moto E4 Plus also sports a front LED flash that is placed on the top front panel of the device, while the real panel of the device houses a Motorola’s traditional circular camera unit along with a LED flash. The speaker grille is seen at the very bottom edge of the phone along with a microUSB charging port sitting in the middle.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Moto E4 Plus sports a 5.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and has a pixel density of 267 ppi. The Moto E4 Plus is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 quad-core processor (some markets may sell it with a MediaTek 6737M chipset) coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Moto E4 Plus runs on Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
