The talk around the theatrical release date for A. R. Murugadoss’s SPYder starring Mahesh Babu, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, RJ Balaji, Bharath among others with a musical score by Harris Jayaraj under the NVR Cinema banner has been going for a while now.
Initially announced to hit screens on June 23 as a Ramzan treat, SPYder backed out of the said date and later announced it would come out as an Independence Day weekend release. However, that was not the case to be so.
Although no specific reason was given for the delay till date, it is believed the makers are looking to ensure the film is properly packaged before it comes out for audiences’ viewing pleasure.
In the midst of this, Mahesh Babu, who plays an Investigative Bureau officer in the film took to his Twitter space yesterday evening to make a formal announcement on the release date. He tweeted, “#SpyDer will come to you this Dussehra ! Let’s get the party started with the first glimpse on May 31st at 5 PM :),”.
So, there you go, guys. Not to feel disappointed, the treat from the ‘Prince’ is on the way.
