To recall, South Korean tech giant Samsung launched its entry-level Galaxy J3 Pro smartphone in India last month. Today, the company has launched an updated variant of the Galaxy J3 Pro in China, which is dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro Plus. The only difference between these two siblings is its design change. The enhanced version of the Galaxy J3 Pro sports a sun pattern metallic texture on both sides of the device as well as on the back side, while the original Galaxy J3 Pro is still made of metal-like polycarbonate material. Apart from this design department, there is no other change on the smartphone. The new Galaxy J3 Pro Plus is currently now listed on Samsung’s China website and will be made available in Gold colour option.
Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro has recently made it to Flipkart exclusive after being launched in India. The smartphone which is actually priced at Rs. 8,490, but now it is available at a discounted price of Rs. 7,990.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J3 pro sports a 5-inch HD sAMOLED display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixel and a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. Samsung Galaxy J3 pro is powered by a 1.5GHz Spreadtrum quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 306 to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Talking about its software fronts, Samsung Galaxy J3 pro runs Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box with Samsung’s proprietary custom skin running on top.
In terms of optics, Samsung Galaxy J3 pro comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and 720p HD video recording at 30fps. On the front, the device sports a 5-megapixel front shooter for making video calls and capturing selfies. Other camera features include beauty face, HDR, panorama, continuous shot, pro mode, and sports mode.
In terms of connectivity, Samsung Galaxy J3 pro is a dual SIM smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Micro-SIM. Other connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, NFC, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB v2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensor on the Galaxy J3 pro include Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Gyroscope. The Samsung Galaxy J3 pro is fuelled by a 2600mAh removable battery. The handset measures 142.2 x 71.3 x 8.0 mm and weighs around 139 grams.
