Earlier this week, it was announced that Nivin Pauly’s first straight Tamil film, Richie will hit screens on December 8. The young Malayalam superstar has gained a massive fan following over the years with a string of hits namely Premam turning out to be a cult classic in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
In the midst of that, Nivin Pauly has signed on to play in Malayalam next a film titled Kayamkulam Kochunni, who was a 19th century Robin Hood-like figure. The film being directed by Rosshan Andrews already has Amala Paul playing the female lead along with Sunny Wayne and Priyanka in vital roles.
Meanwhile, reports are now circulating across certain sections of the media stating Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi has given his approval for an important cameo in the film. However, an official confirmation is now awaited. It must be noted that the ‘Makkal Selvan’ is already one of the busiest stars in the industry with as many as 7 Tamil films and a pivotal role in Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu.
Vijay Sethupathi joining Kayamkulam Kochunni would no doubt be a tremendous boost for the film, but also for the highly talented actor to widen his fan base further in Kerala.
