The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is expected to launch its next flagship smartphone, which is rumoured to be called the OnePlus 5, in June this year. Earlier in this week, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that company’s next flagship smartphone is in works, but he didn’t mention the name for its next smartphone. Some alleged specifications of the OnePlus 5 also have been spotted online on Chinese social media website Weibo. Many rumours and leaks have claimed that the unknown flagship phone will be named OnePlus 5.

Leaks and rumours around the OnePlus next flagship phone have been taking place, and now the OnePlus 5 with specs has been found listed on a Chinese smartphone retail website called OppoMart, which shows the smartphone will have a vertical dual rear camera unit. In the leaked image, the black colour variant is seen with the OnePlus logo sitting in the centre as well. On Oppomart, the smartphone is listed at a retail price of $449 (roughly Rs 28,870) but OppoMart is currently listing this product as ‘out of stock’. The listing indicates that the estimated shipment of the next OnePlus flagship phone will start from the beginning of June, 2017. This post also says that a big change will arrive with the device this year.

As per Oppomart listing, the OnePlus 5 will have a 5.5-inch QHD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The device is expected to be powered by a 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 quad-core processor coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The OnePlus 5 is listed to offer 64GB or 128GB of internal storage as well. The OnePlus 5 offers 64GB/128GB of on-board internal storage. There is a possibility that the device may come in two variants, one with 6GB and another with 8GB RAM. On the software front, the 4G smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with OxygenOS running on top.

In terms of photography, the OnePlus 5 is expected to sport a 12-megapixel dual rear camera setup. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies. The dual-sim based OnePlus 5 will come with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, the OnePlus 5 will feature a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options also include 4G LTE. The device will come loaded with a 3,600mAh non-removable battery with Dash Charge 2.0 technology for fast-charging.
