With the title and first look posters unveiled yesterday for ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s next Kaala, the mood among the fans is as expected euphoric.
That said, Rajini’s Kaala already has four National Award tags around it in the form of the cast and crew associated with the upcoming film said to be an action drama.
Although the complete cast hasn’t been announced, the upcoming Rajinikanth film already has on board some of the top technicians and stars on board.
Dhanush is bankrolling the project under his Wunderbar Films banner. He won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in Aadukalam.
Sreekar Prasad is one of the biggest names when it comes to editing and is a reputed technician in the industry having worked with several top directors across the nation over the years. He’s won the National Award for Best Editor 7 times now.
Samuthirakani is one of the few who is successfully balancing both direction as well as acting and won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor in last year’s Visaranai.
Anjali Patil announced as one of the female leads yesterday was rewarded with a Special Mention National Award for her performance in the Telugu film Naa Bangaaru Talli.
Pa. Ranjith’s Kaala starring Rajinikanth, Anjali Patil, Huma Qureshi and Samuthirakani featuring a musical score by Santhosh Narayanan will begin rolling on May 28.
