Japanese electronics company Panasonic on Tuesday updated its “Toughbook” series notebook catalogue with the launch of an another rugged notebook, dubbed as the “Toughbook CF-XZ6”. The new Toughbook CF-XZ6 will be made available for purchase in the UK starting early July 2017 at a price tag of GBP 1,539 (approx. Rs. 1,27,300). Powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5-7300U vPro processor, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 is specially designed for those mobile workers, who are familiar with rough and tough conditions in their business life. The powerful notebook is capable of tackling the rough conditions due to its rugged build quality and enterprise-level security. The major highlights of the Toughbook CF-XZ6 are its sleek & lightweight design, magnesium alloy chassis, 2-in-1 detachable laptop/tablet mode and 14 hours of battery life. The company claims that the Toughbook CF-XZ6 notebook is an ideal option for white collar workers requiring a 2-in-1 detachable hybrid laptop/tablet that can maintain “the knocks and drops of business life”.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 comes equipped with a 12-inch QHD touchscreen (10-point) display with a screen resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. The anti-glare capacitive touch panel also works with an optional Active stylus pen. The new machine is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5-7300U vPro processor (2.6 GHz, 3 MB cache) coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage for faster data access speeds and boot-up times. Further, users can be customized their Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 notebook with 4GB RAM/128GB SSD storage and 16GB RAM/512GB SSD storage. Talking about its software (OS) fronts, the Toughbook CF-XZ6 runs on Windows 10 Pro version and features a full-HD Windows Hello capable webcam.

Ports on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 laptop (keyboard unit) include three USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet (RJ-45) port, one full-sized HDMI port, and an SDXC card reader. The tablet unit includes a USB 3.1 (Gen.1) Type-C port, VGA web camera, 3.5 mm headset jack, and an 8MP rear camera. The connectivity options offered by the laptop include dual-band (2.4/5GHz) 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and optional 4G LTE service. The new Panasonic Toughbook’s tablet unit comes loaded with a durable and long-lasting 4-cell 27Whr battery, while the keyboard/main unit packs a 4-cell 40Whr battery. Both the battery cells are rated to deliver up to 6.5 hours (tablet) and 7.5 hours (main) of battery life respectively, making a total battery life of 14 hours. Dimensionally, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 measures 11.3 x 8.8 x 0.86 inches and weighs only 1.18 kg (or 640 grams for the tablet section).
