Home-bred handset manufacturer XOLO on Friday launched a new entry-level smartphone, dubbed as the “XOLO Era 1X Pro” in the Indian tech market. Priced at Rs. 5,888, the XOLO Era 1X Pro will be made available for purchase exclusively via e-commerce website Snapdeal in Black and Gold colour variant. The XOLO Era 1X Pro is now listed on company’s official website for pre-order. The XOLO Era 1X Pro is the successor to the company’s previous Era 1X, which was launched in September last year. The main highlight of the new XOLO smartphone is its 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, which comes accompanied with a dual-LED flash unit.

In terms of specifications, the XOLO Era 1X Pro comes equipped with a 5-inch HD UltraBright display with a screen resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor which is clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the smartphone runs on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.

For photography, the XOLO Era 1X Pro houses an 8-megapixel camera at the rear with autofocus, 4P Largan Lens, and an LED flash. The rear camera is capable of recording full-HD (1080p) videos at 30fps. The camera features on the device also include Slow Motion Video, Live Photos, Time-Lapse Video, Audio Note, Beauty Mode and Burst Mode. In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM XOLO Era 1X Pro offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm headphone socket and a microUSB port for charging and transferring data. Sensors on the device include an Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Proximity sensor. On the battery front, the XOLO Era 1X Pro packs a 2,500 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which the company claims it lasts well over a day on a single charge.

Notably, XOLO has recently announced a ‘365 days Screen Replacement’ scheme for its best smartphone under Rs. 5,000, the XOLO Era 1X. Under this ‘365 days Screen Replacement’ policy, the company is offering one-year free screen replacement guarantee which is applicable from the date of purchase and is valid for one screen replacement. The new offer is only applicable for XOLO Era 1X smartphone purchased in India on or after July 5, 2017 (the buying period: 5th July — 31st July). To claim this replacement scheme, the smartphone should be activated and fall under the company’s given 1-year warranty period.
