Soon after launching the Aqua Selfie smartphone in India, Home-bred handset manufacturer Intex Technologies on Thursday expanded its Aqua series smartphone portfolio with the launch of a new budget-oriented smartphone, dubbed as the “Intex Aqua Lions 3” in India. Priced at Rs 6,499, the new Intex Aqua Lions 3 will be made available for purchase starting today through all leading offline retail stores across the country in Champagne and Black colour options. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 is a new member of company’s popular Aqua series that we have seen the recently launched Intex Aqua Selfie with 4G voLTE support and now the Intex Aqua Lions 3 can be considered as a toned-down version of the Intex Aqua Selfie. The main highlights of the Intex Aqua Lions 3 are its pre-loaded SwiftKey keyboard by Microsoft, pre-loaded music streaming feature and video streaming feature, latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a strong 4,000mAh battery and selfie-flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.
In terms of design, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 sports a sleek metal unibody design with metal edges and brushed finish at the back, giving it an overall fresh and classy look. The new smartphone features three capacitive navigation buttons and a front LED flash that is housed on the top front panel of the device. The volume up-down keys and the power/lock button are all placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphone. The rear panel of the smartphone houses an 8MP rear camera setup with a LED flash module, while the top front panel features an 8MP selfie camera, LED flash, sensors, and an earpiece.
In terms of specifications, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 comes equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS OnCell display with a screen resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved DragonTail glass coating on top of the display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with light custom UI skin running on top.
For photography, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and single LED flash. On the front, the device features an another 8-megapixel front-facing shooter with an LED flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.
In terms of connectivity, this dual-SIM Intex Aqua Lions 3 smartphone offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 comes loaded with a high-density 4,000mAh Li-ion battery. Dimension wise, the handset measures 139.6 x 68.8 x 9.4mm and weighs 162 grams.
As we mentioned earlier, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 comes pre-loaded with SwiftKey keyboard by Microsoft that enables communication in 22 regional languages, Hinglish and over 180 international languages. Apart from these specifications, the device also comes preloaded with popular music streaming app, “Gaana” and video streaming service “Amazon Prime Video”, which allow users to enjoy free unlimited access to all their favourite songs and stream and download popular movies and TV Shows. In addition, it also comes with QR Code scanner, Xender file transfer apps, Vistoso image editing apps and more pre-installed apps.
