Domestic handset manufacturer Micromax Informatics on Monday announced the launch of its two new affordable 4G-enabled smartphones – Micromax Bharat 3 and Micromax Bharat 4 – in the Indian tech market. The Micromax Bharat 3 has been launched in the country with a price tag of Rs. 4,499, while the Micromax Bharat 4 has been priced at Rs. 4,999. Carried a such an attractive price tag, both the freshly launched smartphones will be made available for purchase in the country starting today (September 18) via all leading offline retail stores across the country in Black colour option. The economical price of these smartphones might suggest a device with weak performance, but the Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 are designed to offer an exceptional entertainment, battery life and productivity experience in its price range. Both the smartphones feature 22 Indian languages, Android 7.0 Nougat OS and 4G VoLTE support and Smart Key that enables users to take screenshots, click pictures and switch the handset into silent mode. Basically, the Bharat series has been designed keeping the Indian consumers in the mind.
Micromax Bharat 3 Specifications:
Starting with the Micromax Bharat 3, the smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved glass coating on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737M quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU to take care the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
For photography enthusiasts, the Micromax Bharat 3 features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and an LED flash module. Talking about its selfie camera, the phone bears a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with LED flash for capturing bright selfies and video chats.
Connectivity options offered by the Bharat 3 include dual-SIM, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, OTG support and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the Micromax Bharat 3 comes packed with a decent 2,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 6-7 hours of talktime and up to 180 hours of standby time. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor.
Micromax Bharat 4 Specifications:
Moving on to the Micromax Bharat 4, the handset comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass protection on top. Talking about its power and performance, the smartphone is powered by the same MediaTek MT6737M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The processor comes paired with Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion by up to 32GB. Talking about its software fronts, the Micromax Bharat 4 also runs Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Bharat 4 features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, the phone houses a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with LED flash for capturing bright selfies and making video calls. On the battery front, the Micromax Bharat 4 is fuelled by a 2,500mAh battery that is rated to offer up to 7-8 hours of talktime and up to 180 hours of standby time.
On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM Micromax Bharat 4 supports various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio, OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and other connectivity. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor. Dimensionally, the handset measures 144.5 x 73 x 9mm and weighs 150 grams.
