Nokia has just recently announced that its last year’s model, Nokia 8 and this year’s Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 Plus will be receiving face unlock feature update! That’s a good news for those who already have one of these models. The company has told that the face unlock feature will be rolled out in coming months via OTA update.
HMD Global’s Nokia X6 which was released last month in China, also had face recognition function.
Company’s Mobile twitter account also read, “Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, and the new Nokia 6, as well as the Nokia 8, will get FaceUnlock as an OTA update in the coming months.”
And not to mention that along with the face unlock function, the fingerprint recognition feature will remain there too-so, its a double delight!
Other companies like Huawei, OnePlus, Asus had also brought the facial recognition function in existing models by OTA updates.
But most interesting thing is that HMD Global’s Nokia, the Finnish company, has also ensured that it will be rolling out the latest Android P operating system also, to their users who are having any of the launched Nokia smartphones so far.
