Xiaomi has launched its new phablet (smartphone+tablet), Mi Max 3, today with a 5,500mAh battery. It looks just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but sports a comparatively larger screen, since it’s not just a phone! Xiaomi launched it in China this morning at around 10:00am (CST)-means 7:30am (IST).

Mi Max 3 has a 6.9inch display, that is, an aspect ratio of 18:9. The performance is backed-up by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC, while there are two variants of the phablet in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.


Talking about camera section then the Mi Max 3 sports a dual-rear camera setup of 12MP+5MP lenses. On the front, it has a 8MP camera. But one more thing which is good about it is the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature which will charge the large 5,500mAh battery very rapidly.

Features involve the AI Face-Unlock function, Selfie bokeh effect and AI assistant.

The price of the Mi Max 3 will be set in the range of CNY 1,099 (Rs.11,200) and CNY 1,999 (Rs.20,400).

The India release of the phablet has not been announced yet.
