On the day of new year, Akshay Kumar revealed the first look of his new venture directed by R Balki named Padman, based on a short story written by his wife Twinkle Khanna. The story is based on the story of India’s famous ‘Menstruation Man’ Arunachalam Muruganantham. The story was recently released in her book ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’

Twinkle Khanna’s second book “The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad” is a book which has series of short stories and the main emphasis is given on the various social troubles women go through.One such story in the book is about a man Arunachalam Muruganantham who is also known as the Sanitary/Mensuration man. Murugu is a multilayered character; he wears sanitary pads just to understand the women problems.
The movie will be all about Murugu, and the way he sees his life. The way he outlooks his life is different than a normal human being. The main role of Murugu will be obviously played by Akshay Kumar.
Let’s hope the movie is just awesome as the other movies Akshay Kumar has been in.
