Yes, you heard it right. There is another rival that’s decided to take away some spotlight off the upcoming new iPhone from Apple, on the speculated 12th September, 2017. As per the reports of IBT (International Business Times), Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi (sometimes called the Apple of China) is rumored to have decided to release their new flagship phone on the same day as Apple’s new version of its i(conic) Phone.
Going a bit deeper, it has been reported that Xiaomi’s new high-end smartphone Mi Mix 2, is slated for a September 12 launch. And as far as predictions and rumors are concerned, this new desired phone for Xiaomi, is said to arrive with the-now-trending 18:9 screen ratio (and a staggering 95% screen to body ratio). It is also said to boast a 6.4inch screen size, dual curved 2K AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 835 chipset, combined with 6 GB of RAM and internal storage of 128 GB-these are all speculations, for now.
But again, on one hand, Apple’s new iPhone update always draws a larger mass attention as it only takes place once in a year unlike other competitors in the market who keep launching new phones every month. While on the other hand, Xiaomi’s audience will be largely limited to China only, so it won’t be able to make much of an impact. Still, the decision of Xiaomi to make a clash of launch for Mi Mix 2 against the new iPhone is a point, making a sense here. It also tells that there may be something amazing about Xiaomi’s new smartphone.
