Taiwanese PC and Tablet manufacturer Asus launched its latest mid-range camera-centric smartphone series, called the “Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie series” in the Indian tech market last week. Now, almost one week later, the company has started shipping units of its Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie series of smartphones across the country from today. All these aforementioned smartphones are now made available for purchase in India exclusively via e-commerce website Flipkart.com.
The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie series includes three brand new smartphones: Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL / Single front camera version), Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL / Dual front camera version), and Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL). As for pricing and colours, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL) single front camera variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 and comes in Deepsea Black, Rose Pink and Sunlight Gold colour options. The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) dual front camera version costs Rs. 14,999 and comes in Deepsea Black, Rose Pink and Sunlight Gold colour options. On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL) is priced at Rs. 23,999 and comes in Rouge Red, Sunlight Gold and Deepsea Black colour options. Interestingly, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) dual front camera version is now available at an offer price of Rs. 13,999 during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sales.
As part of an introductory offer, the e-commerce giant is providing some interesting offers on the purchase of these smartphones. The launch offers include no cost EMI on Selfie Pro model, and up to 100GB (10GB for up to 10 recharges) of additional data from Reliance Jio. The Reliance Jio additional data offer is applicable for all newly launched ZenFone 4 Selfie series smartphones.
Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL):
The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL) flaunts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved glass coating on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. Talking about its software fronts, the device runs company’s proprietary Zen 4.0 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The device also features a front-mounted (underneath the physical Home button) fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
In terms of optics, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL) features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) and an LED flash module. On the front, the smartphone sports an another 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture and soft LED flash for capturing bright selfies. In terms of memory, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) comes loaded with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 2TB with the help of a microSD card. Coming to the high-end version, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL) sports a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the display layered with a scratch resistance 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a blazing-fast octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. Known for being a very power efficient chipset, it comes with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The graphics duties are handled by an Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of memory, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is backed up by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. In terms of connectivity, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL) supports dual-SIM dual standby using the Hybrid Dual SIM configuration (micro+nano/microSD). That means you can either use this as a dual-SIM phone without memory card option or single-SIM phone with memory card option.
