Huawei’s sub-brand Honor on Tuesday launched its newest wearable, the Honor Band A2 fitness tracker at an event in China. The Honor Band A2 is the successor to Honor Band A1, which was launched in May last year. Like many of the fitness trackers, Honor Band A2 comes with fitness tracker support, running, walking, steps, and sleep data facility, which shows calories consumed and physical activities. Priced at CNY 199 (approx. Rs. 1,870), the new Honr Band A2 will be made available in black colour dial and various colour straps – Black, White, Yellow, and Red. Currently, the fitness tracker is listed for pre-orders and will be available from June 9 (Friday) in China via Huawei’s official online store, Vmall.com and as well as the Chinese e-commerce site, Suning.com.

The Honor Band A2 sports 0.96-inch OLED touchscreen display that allows the users to get useful information like notifications for phone calls, SMS, physical activity related information and the amount of calories consumed. Honor Band A2 features a heart rate sensor that can detect your heart rate continuously. Apart from these features, the Band A2 also offers various types of activities including sleep, running, walking, steps, and even bicycle rides along with the added benefit of showing real-time data for running and cycling activities.

Compatible with both Android and iOS platform, the Honor Band A2 makes it possible to synchronise data with smartphone when paired with Bluetooth connection. Fitness tracking functions include a pedometer, exercise tracker, and sedentary reminder to monitor your health effectively. The Honor Band A2 is backed by a 95mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 9 days of battery life and up to 18 days of standby time.
