With the Happy New Year offer ending on 31st March, Reliance Jio will no more be free of cost. After the end of this month, Jio users will have to pay for different services. But, there is a catch: Jio Prime.
Subscription to Jio Prime will ensure more data and other services at the same rate. But only the existing Jio customers can avail this scheme. That is to say that those who get a new Jio SIM activated on or before 31st March are eligible for this offer.
But, to avail the benefits of Jio Prime one has to enroll in this program. The enrollment fee is Rs 99 per year and the last date of enrollment, as announced by the company, is 31st March. The subscription is non-refundable.
After enrolling one has to take monthly or daily plans to avail free data and calls. There are total 10 tariff plans to choose from. These plans range from Rs 19 to Rs 9999. You can take a look at the plans here: https://www.jio.com/en-in/4g-plans
On recharging with Rs 303 a regular Jio customer will get 2.5 GB 4g data for 28 days, with unlimited free calls and SMS. Whereas a Jio Prime member will get 28 GB 4g data for the same period of time with FUP of 1GB per day, including free calls and SMS; data rates will go down to 128KBps when 28GB is used.
Jio Prime is available for both pre-paid and post-paid users. However, for post-paid users, only three plans are available: Rs 303, Rs 499 and Rs 999.
