After launching the Aura Power 4G Plus smartphone in India last month, Domestic handset manufacturer Karbonn Mobiles on Thursday launched an another entry-level smartphone, called the “Karbonn Aura Note 2” in India. The Karbonn Aura Note 2 is the successor to the company’s previous “Aura Note 4G”, which was launched in December 2016. Priced at Rs. 6,490, the new Karbonn Aura Note 2 smartphone will be made available for purchase in two attractive body colour options- Coffee-Champagne and Black-Champagne. The major highlights of the smartphone are its 13MP main camera and artificial intelligence (AI) based applications. The Karbonn Aura Note 2 comes integrated with a Fashion app, Vistoso, which allows users to search for a dress or accessory by simply clicking its picture, with the AI engine of the app automatically recognising the print, pattern and colour of the outfit to give relevant results.

Karbonn Aura Note 2 Specifications and Features:
In terms of specifications, the Karbonn Aura Note 2 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display and offers a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Karbonn Aura Note 2 runs on Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In terms of photography, the Karbonn Aura Note 2 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. On the front, Aura Note 2 has a 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. The rear-facing camera supports features like –Touch focus, Panorama shot, Continuous shot, Smile shot and Face detection.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM Karbonn Aura Note 2 offers various connectivity options including 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG support, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, G-Sensor, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. On the battery front, Karbonn Aura Note 2 packs a decent 2900mAh battery which claims to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 192 hours of standby time. Dimensionally, the device measures at 115 x 78 x 8mm and weighs 174 grams.
