If you see a smartphone with a tiny 2.45-inch screen, you might feel “black & white” thinking of the ancient days. But when you meet “Jelly”, the world’s smallest Android smartphone, then Jelly might really astonish you. A Shanghai-based company, Unihertz has made the world’s smallest 4G Android smartphone- Jelly with 2.45-inch screen (240 x 432 pixels).

The Jelly smartphone project is currently running on KickStarter, now they are looking for crowd funding. The tiny-sized smartphone project has already raised $134,350 in its funding goal within an hour, where the company had pledged a goal of $30,000 and they still have 34 days to go, as of today.

The first mini-sized smartphone, Jelly comes in two variants – first one is Jelly and the second one is Jelly Pro. These will be convenient models for those who want to buy a coin pocket-sized smartphone. Both the variants will be made available in Sky Blue, Pearl White and Space Black colour options. Surprisingly, both the Jelly smartphones runs on latest Android edition 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

Measuring 92.3 x 43 x 13.3 mm (3.6 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches), the Jelly smartphone sports a 2.45-inch (240×432 pixels) TFT LCD display with 201ppi pixel density. Jelly is powered by 1.1 GHz Quad-Core processor, and comes in two variants: one with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage option, and a Jelly Pro variant with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage space. The storage space can be further expandable via microSD card slot (up to 32GB).

In terms of photography, Jelly sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front sensor for selfie. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5 mm headphone jack, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. The sensors on the device include Gyroscope, G-Sensor and Compass. The Jelly packs with a 950mAh battery that is rated to offer three days of battery usage and an excellent 7 days on standby.

The Jelly and Jelly Pro are priced starting from $59 (approx. Rs. 3,700) and can be ordered worldwide via Kickstarter. The company has promised to start shipping the mini-sized smartphones in August this year.
