After launching the Moto C smartphone in India earlier this month, Lenovo-backed Motorola is all set to launch their another budget-friendly smartphone, Moto C Plus in India today, at an event in New Delhi scheduled to begin at around 12:00 pm IST. At the event, Motorola will be announcing the pricing details and availability of the Moto C Plus. Previously, both the companies Motorola and Flipkart announced that Indian e-commerce giant will be the exclusive retail partner for the upcoming Moto C Plus smartphone and will be up for sale immediately after the launch event. Flipkart.com has already put up a page with ‘Know More’ live button, where interested customers will get detail information about the Motorola’s next entry-level smartphone. To recall, Moto C Plus was first launched in May this year with a price tag of EUR 119 (approximately Rs 8,600), along with the company’s another mid-range smartphone Moto C. In the Indian smartphone market, the Moto C Plus will likely to be priced somewhere in between the Rs 7,500 and Rs 8,000.
Recollecting some key specs, Moto C Plus sports a 5-inch semi-HD display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737M quad-core Cortex-A53 processor along with Mali-T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 1GB/2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software fonts, the Moto C Plus runs Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of photography, the Moto C Plus features an 8-megapixel rear sensor with 1.12 micron pixels, autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, 71-degree field of view, an LED flash module and 720p video recording. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies and video calling.
In terms of connectivity, Moto C Plus comes with dual-SIM dual standby support. Connectivity options on the device also include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. The Moto C Plus comes packed with a powerful 4000mAh removable battery. The company claims that the smartphone can deliver up to 30 hours of battery backup. The handset measures at 144 x 72.3 x 10 mm and weighs 162 grams.
