Home-bred handset manufacturer Swipe Technologies on Friday expanded its Konnect smartphone portfolio with the launch of an entry-level smartphone, dubbed as the “Swipe Konnect Power” in the Indian tech market. Priced at Rs. 4,999, the new Swipe Konnect Power 4G-enabled smartphone will be made available for purchase in India starting August 7 (Monday) exclusively via e-commerce website Snapdeal.com in Black colour option.
Talking about its specifications, the Swipe Konnect Power comes equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 pixels by 720 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a powerful 1.5GHZ quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Swipe Konnect Power runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Swipe Konnect Power sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash module. On the front, the phone features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies and making video calls. On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM Swipe Konnect Power offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG support, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroUSB port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include an Accelerometer sensor, Proximity sensor and Ambient Light sensor. On the battery front, the smartphone packs a denser 3,000mAh battery that is rated to offer up to 4 hours of watching videos on Wi-Fi, up to 3 hours of online video streaming on 4G network and up to 8 hours of internet browsing.

Earlier in the month of May, Swipe Technologies launched an enhanced memory variant of its ELITE Star smartphone with 16GB native storage at a price tag of Rs. 3,999. As a reminder, the Swipe ELITE Star was first launched in December last year only with 8GB internal storage. Technically speaking, Swipe ELITE Star sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.5GHZ quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Swipe ELITE Star runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Indus OS (home-grown Android-based operating system maker). In terms of optics, the Swipe ELITE Star features a 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The Swipe ELITE Star is fuelled by a 2000mAh battery with rapid-charge technology support.
