Soon after launching the Aqua Lions 3 smartphone in India, Home-grown handset manufacturer Intex Technologies on Wednesday expanded its Aqua series smartphone portfolio with the launch of a new pocket-friendly smartphone, dubbed as the “Intex Aqua Power IV” in the India tech market. Priced at Rs. 5,499, the new Intex Aqua Power IV will be made available for purchase starting today via all leading mortar and brick stores across the country in Gold and Black colour options.

The Intex Intex Aqua Power IV is a new member of company’s popular Aqua series that we have seen the recently launched Aqua Lions 3 with 4G voLTE support and now the Intex Aqua Power IV can be considered as a watered-down version of the Intex Aqua Lions 3. The key highlights of the Intex Aqua Power IV are its pre-loaded music streaming and video streaming feature, latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a high-density a 4,000mAh battery, and a selfie-flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.

In terms of design, the Intex Aqua Power IV sports a metal unibody design with metal edges, giving it an overall fresh and classy look. The new smartphone features three capacitive navigation buttons and a front LED flash that is housed on the top front panel of the device. The volume up-down keys and the power/lock button are all placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphone, while the speaker grilles are situated at the rear end of the device. The rear panel of the smartphone houses a 5MP rear camera setup and an LED flash module, while the top front panel features a 5MP selfie camera, LED flash, sensors, and an earpiece.

Technically speaking, the Intex Aqua Power IV comes equipped with a 5-inch FWVGA TN display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek 6737 quad-core processor coupled with Mail-T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the Intex Aqua Power IV runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with light custom UI skin running on top.

In terms of optics, the Intex Aqua Power IV sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a single LED Flash. On the front, the device features an another 5-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera with an LED flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.

On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM Intex Aqua Power IV offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the Intex Aqua Power IV is fuelled by a high-density 4,000mAh Li-ion battery. Dimensionally, the handset measures 145 × 71.8 × 10.5mm and weighs 172 grams.

Apart from these specifications, the smartphone also comes preloaded with popular music streaming app, “Gaana” and video streaming service “Amazon Prime Video”, which allow users to enjoy free unlimited access to all their favourite songs and stream and download popular movies and TV Shows. In addition, it also comes with QR Code scanner, Xender file transfer apps, Vistoso image editing apps and more pre-installed apps.
