The first British man to be pregnant is a former Asda worker and he is already four months pregnant! Hayden Cross became pregnant four months back when he found a sperm donor on Facebook. At 20 years old Hayden decided to put his transition on hold to become a father. He will complete the procedure after his child is born. Hayden had initially asked the doctors to freeze his eggs so that he could have a child even after his transition was complete. But with the doctors refusing to do the 4000 pounds procedure, Hayden took to Facebook to find a sperm donor. The sperm comes from an anonymous person who left it in a pot outside his door. Hayden injected it by himself using a syringe since he couldn’t afford a clinic and was desperate to have a child. Hayden says that he would stay single for few years after the child is born to not create any complications.

Hayden lives in a council flat in Gloucester and survived on his unemployment benefits. He has been legally living as a man for three years and had already undergone the preliminary procedures to become a man. The gender transition helped a lot of people which costs 29000 pounds for each patient. Hayden attended an all girls school but was expelled at the age of 14. This was also the time when his parents had decided to split up due to his father’s drug issues. Hayden said that he never fit in and always felt like he wants to be a man. He has dated both men and women but prefers to date men.Being born a girl he was comfortable in dating men but was comfortable by considering himself a male. Hayden is worried that people will judge him as most people are narrow minded. A man carrying a child is not a very pleasant sight for many people he said. The local hospital’s NHS unit will help him get his maternity services.
